Dark, clean, fully responsive.

An introduction to BRAVE; quality paired with support to die for no comments

Beautifully dark, minimal and 100% responsive, the goal with BRAVE remains the same as it was with our previous creations (the touch device oriented Spartan and HERO): keep it simple.

You’ll be hard pressed to find a single unnecessary pixel that would get between your visitor and your content. In fact, we aimed for your content to effortlessly be a big part of the actual design; you’ve no doubt already noticed the focus on bold headlines and other well-placed content items. Continues..

Meet the Bonfire comment form 2 comments

We love injecting uniqueness into every corner of our themes. With that in mind, we opted to create a comment form that is unique and clean, yet at the same time remains ridiculously user-friendly. The result is below.

Unnecessary fields are hidden at first and only pop into view once the user is ready to actually start typing a comment. Combined with the unique look of the comment form itself (the text area also auto-expands as you type, by the way), it’s a fantastic way to draw that extra bit of attention to your comment section.

Here’s what an embedded gallery looks like; clean and touch-enabled no comments

Next to working like a charm with WordPress’ own gallery system, this theme also comes with a visually customized version of PhotoSwipe. Once activated, it integrates seamlessly with WordPress (all 9 columns are fully supported), meaning the way galleries are inserted remains exactly the same; you won’t have to learn a brand new interface.

However, thanks to fully supporting smartphones and tablets, the PhotoSwipe add-on allows you to post a single gallery and know that it will work brilliantly on desktop while giving touch device users the expected joy of swiping and pinching.

Support for two customized slider plugins no comments

Sliders. Who doesn’t love ’em? Above is one example of two different slider plugins this theme beautifully supports. Go on, slide away. You’ll find an example of the second plugin on the static front page here.

We’ve created customized navigation for both, but you can also use their default looks or one of several themes and multiple effects that come with the plugins.

As with anything else that’s an extra in this theme, using sliders too is completely optional. Not a fan? Simply don’t install the plugins required.

Quickly and easily embed videos, maps etc. 1 comment

We all like to post fantastic videos on our blogs (and other embeddable content like Google Maps for example), and having them blend in with the design is important to say the least. That’s why, next to posting this type of content inside posts and pages as you normally would, this theme also allows you to post them where the featured image appears, above the post’s headline.

The example video above which covers the importance of zero, demonstrates just that.

To make embedding a breeze, we also have video shortcodes available for YouTube, Vimeo, USTREAM, DailyMotion, as well as Blip.tv.
